Word Clouds Are The BOMB! Create Fast, Fun, Easy & Free Custom Design Elements!

Fast, Fun, Easy & Free; four words every Scrapbooker likes to see when looking for a new embellishment or focal point for one of their layouts.  With that in mind, I’m going to share with you one of my favorite custom elements and how you can create them fast, easy, and for free with an online word cloud generator!  Online word cloud generator, you ask???  Let me explain…

Chompin’ Drama!

For anyone not familiar with word clouds, they are basically an image or a shape that is composed of words used to convey a particular theme or subject, and normally the size and frequency of the words used in the shape denote the importance and relation to the subject.

Wow that’s a whole lot of words to say it’s using words to fill in cool shapes!  Anyways, they are really fun to play around with and are a great way to add some personalized custom elements to your layouts.  I’ve always been drawn to word clouds as a great way to title or theme a page without having to resort to putting a formal title across the layout in big bold letters.  They can be much more subtle than a formal title and really do add depth and visual interest to your layouts.

Finding a word cloud generator is also super easy.  Just type “word cloud generator” into your internet search and check out all the great options.  Lots of sites are out there and each one is a little different so be sure to check them all out and find the one that fits your particular vision.  Most sites offer basic word clouds for free and most also have access to premium content (high resolution graphics, etc) for a small fee.  The possibilities are endless and they are super-fast and fun!  So, if you haven’t already tried word clouds in your projects give them a try, and if you have used them in a layout or on a card, share a picture of them with our Facebook group:  https://www.facebook.com/scrapdivaretreats/ so we can all be inspired by your creativity!

Before the workshop, I created a vision board to manifest the feelings that I wanted the attendees to have. I wanted everyone to feel motivated to achieve the life they want and inspired to follow their dreams. After all… life’s not about finding yourself… it’s about creating yourself!

I will send you a serious of free videos and free worksheets that will walk you through the process of creating an EPIC vision for yourself.

4 Easy Steps:

Dream
Inspire
Visualize
Affirm

Do you want to accomplish your dreams, attract more positive energy into your life and start living with more purpose and clarity?

Then you will want to create a vision board! A vision board is basically a creative representation of your dreams, aspirations and the energy you want to attract into your life.

Here’s an example of a vision board I created which is about creating a new art space in San Diego called SoCal Art Diva.

One important item to include on a vision board are words that connect the feelings you want to have when you achieve your dream. For example, I added the words “connecting with like-minded souls” because I want to attract women that are happy to be there creating artwork.

SoCal Art Diva Connecting

I also added the birds and butterflies because I want to create a space where people feel free to soar creatively and express themselves.

I added the message of “letting go of imperfections and accepting ourselves” because I wanted to remind myself to have fun, get messy and to be happy with imperfection.

Letting Go

Dear Kelly, I just want you to know

Dear Kelly, I just want you to know that YOU are amazing.

– You are right where you are supposed to be.

-You make a difference in the lives of others simply by being you.

-You make a positive impact by following your nature, living in the moment and choosing to share your happiness with others.

-You cannot change the past or control other people. However, you can CHOOSE how you react to others and situations.

-You provide your best energy to life on a consistent basis, and although sometimes things don’t always work out, all “character building” experiences are meant to teach lessons.

-Have the courage to do what you were put here to do!

-Have faith that AMAZING things will occur when you let go of fear and surrender to the gentle knowledge that you are on the right path and you will reach the intended destination at the right time.

Tonight I was looking at the beautiful mantras created by the artist Kelly Rae Roberts and felt inspired to write a letter to my inner child about fear. I want to let go of the fear I have of playing too big, not playing big enough and not being perfect enough.

I must constantly remind myself that…

I Am Enough

Someone once told me that I should treat myself with kindness and forgiveness the way I would treat a child. Which is much more difficult to do than it sounds because I’m naturally inlined to be harder on myself than I am on anybody else.

The first agreement in the book titled The Four Agreements  is

Be Impeccable with Your Word

Author Don Ruiz, describes your word as being the most powerful gift you have and that it is pure magic. His message is that the words you use to talk to yourself take on a magic of their own and have the power to impact your entire world.

Use the word to share your love. Use white magic, beginning with yourself. Tell yourself how wonderful you are, how great you are. Tell yourself how much you love yourself.

Nourish Yourself Through Self Care

This year I’m following through with the tradition to choose a special word for the year and set my intentions around that word. I’m doing Alli Edwards online class called One Little Word.  I started this process last year when I chose the word “Inspire.”

For 2015 I knew that I wanted to make some healthier choices in my life and start putting my own self-care above other goals. Since I was drawn to this intention I chose the word “NOURISH”. To make my word visible in my life, I created this awesome vision board. I started off with an inexpensive white board from the Office Supply store. As I considered my intention over a few weeks I cut out magazine words and images that evoked nourishment. Then I colored the empty spaces with gelatos.
