September & October 2014 Recap- Scrap Diva Retreats Wind Down

In September I turned 35. I didn’t end up celebrating my birthday because I was wicked sick in bed, but that’s ok because the rest of the year was exciting.

I put this “unbirthday” party picture in my day planner because there’s a funny story that goes with it. A few yeas ago when I was visiting my friend Melyssa we went to a piano bar and she told the singer that it was my birthday when it wasn’t. It’s a great reminder that you can choose to celebrate any day and you don’t have to be confined to your “actual” birthday. So go ahead and plan something fun and give yourself an “unbirthday” party. If anyone gives you a hard time about it tell them that I gave you permission 🙂

Here’s  3 lessons  I learned this year:

1. Enjoy the journey more than the destination

2. What you conceive you can achieve

3. Every moment is an opportunity to start fresh

In October I hosted a scrapbook class.

I also started making some awesome Halloween cards using the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge.

I discovered my neighbor Karen was doing the “Documented Life Project” and we had a grand time painting leaves.

On October 26th, Kathy invited me over to her house and taught me how to make delicious scones! I was so excited because I used her recipe to make the scones for my tea parties. Thank you Kathy!

I went on a Halloween baking adventure and became a tad bid obsessed with making cupcakes and cookies.
