Paper Piecing – Old School Scrapbook Technique!

I’m super excited because I finally figured out how to scan my scrapbook pages using my new Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner! The truth is…the scanner is not brand new because I bought it last year but it took me all day to figure out how to download the right driver and get some good scans. What I’m stoked about is that I figured out how to stitch the scans together using Photoshop Elements. I haven’t quite figured out how to get it perfect yet….in the scan you can see a blur near the C where the pages were stitched together. But this year one of my mantra is: “Done is better than perfect!”

So hopefully next time my stitching will be a bit better.

Chucky Cheese copy

I used a fun paper piercing technique to make the mouse on this Chucky Cheese scrapbook layout. I downloaded a picture of Chucky from the internet and then layered colored paper over the mouse to create a 3D layer effect. Then I added some pink chalk to the mouse’s cheeks and some yellow chalk to the piece of cheese.

Chucky Cheese… “Where a kid can be a kid!”
