Halloween Cards & Tutorial

I had fun making this tutorial but I definitely have a new appreciation for professional teachers who videotape their classes! It took me an entire day just to make this 5 minute video! Of course I had missing QuickTime components and I had to go to the Apple store for two hours to reinstall iMovie! Nevertheless… it’s done!

I’m sure the process will get easier after I’ve had more opportunities to practice. This year my mantra is “done is better than perfect.” I’m trying to let go of some of my perfectionism tendencies. So with that in mind here’s the next video. I hope you enjoy it.

The video should be helpful for you in creating this gorgeous pop-up card of your own because I share with you some major mistakes that I made before figuring out the right way. For example, one important detail is that you have to have high quality thick card stock for the card base otherwise the paper could be floppy.

It was fun using the black flock to make the spider and spiderweb 3D spooky.

Here’s another fun Halloween card I made with the new Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge and some leftover halloween paper from last year.

I hope you found some inspirational Halloween card ideas! I still have a few more to share with you soon…
