January 2014 Recap

February was another fabulous month for crafting. We had Shonna Bucaroff teach a mixed media workshop weekend. Shonna taught us how to make exciting background pages using acrylics and stencils. This was the first time most of the students had used a Gelli plate and it was a huge success making pages for our gorgeous winged art journal.

I created an awesome day planner and started following Documented Life Project on Facebook. It was so much fun to keep notes and create bits of artwork throughout the year in the planner. I plan on posting a short video sometime in the next month on this.

The weekend of February 7th – 9th we had a fun scrapbook retreat for Lori, Wendy and Renee’s birthdays.

I came up with an exciting mantra for the year and put it on the front of my day planner to remember it all year long! My definition of perfection is always unachievable so I was trying all year to finish things instead of trying to make them perfect.

Elaine’s Scrap Divas cropped at the end of February. The same weekend LaRee, Valerie and I went to a Rediscover CTMH event. The event was a ton of fun and we each got to play with new Close to My Heart Products and create a mini album.
